About Tip-Off Status
A growing number of Division I conferences now require schools to publish official player availability reports before conference basketball games, and each conference posts them on its own site in its own format. Tip-Off Status puts the men's basketball reports in one place: every report, every team, every game day, with each status change between reports logged and time-stamped.
On days with games we check the official sources every 15 minutes from 6 AM to 9 PM Pacific, and every two hours otherwise. We normalise the statuses (Out, Doubtful, Questionable, Game-time decision, Probable, Available) and rebuild the site. Games come off the listings at 5 AM Pacific the day after they're played; their pages stay available.
How we collect
Every page credits and links to the conference's own public availability report page. Our collector identifies itself (TipoffStatusBot, contact tdogsportspicks@gmail.com), makes one request at a time with a pause between requests, skips files that haven't changed, and only checks a conference frequently when it has games coming up. Conference staff with questions can reach us at tdogsportspicks@gmail.com.
